OP as Zia? He doesn’t even look like Zia from any angle. What were they thinking?

Om Puri’s face has the staunchness that Zia had…

Why couldn’t they find a PAKISTANI to play a PAKISTANI General is my question. If GEO can find silly but strikingly resembling clones to portray Mushy and Shaukat Aziz etc then how hard is it for a Hollywood director to find another General Zia in Pakistan?

I loved ‘The Graduate’ and ‘Closer’ from Mark Nichols. Hoping this would be a treat to watch as well.

Lahori you are so right. We should learn from the Indians and bollywood seriously. They know how to grab an opportunity and we are as usual just sitting ducks. A white guy plays Jinnah and now they pick Zia too from across the border. I don’t have any thing against India or Om Puri for that matter but this should be our call. When was Gandhi ever played by a Pakistani?

I read in “The News” today in the morning.

I also read that Om Puri wanted some Pakistani national to play Zia’s role…

Brilliant! I hope they give respect to the Gen and don’t portray him as a loser.
