Pakistan’s (New) Image?

Under the Islamic principle of Qisas on the charges of killing one of their comrades, Pakistani tribal Taliban execute an alleged kidnapper. image from Gulf-Times

With the evident news of roadblocks being lifted in the militant stronghold of South Waziristan, the local Taliban Commander, Baitullah Mehsud and his merry men, held responsible for various incidents of suicide bombings and attacks on civilians and armed forces since last year now have an open hand to run their operations.

What needs to be seen now is that whether, despite the ongoing controversial peace deal, the Taliban will remain content with where they are right now or would we be seeing such executions in Fatima Jinnah Park (Isl) or Race Course Park (Lahore) any time soon.

I remember seeing a similar video footage many years ago when Taliban held public style executions in Afghanistan. Never thought this would come to Pakistan too one day.

    According to Dawn

The Taliban had sentenced Zaiver Khan to death after finding him guilty of hijacking vehicles and killing a number of people.

Why are you mourning? Was the hijacker your friend or associative that you are in grief? I appreciate this since it will send a message to other negative elements of their society to quit such negative activities.

I would rather expect few public executions of smugglers, corrupt people in Karachi or other cities of Pakistan as well so that people feel fear and quit bad activities.

LOL err who is mourning Adnan?

I would rather see atleast 1,00,000 people in Pakistan shot in the head to reform the country myself but I’m sorry the Taliban have had a long history of hijacks, murders, and suicide bombings to their name as well. So I don’t really consider them an ideal authority ruling over my country.

And nopesy, the hijacker was not my friend but I know several people who were and who had their jugular veins slit open amidst the echos of Allah-o-Akbar 🙂 Either that or they were blown to smithereens in the name of jihad. Not to mention how my cousin from the med corps dies holding my hand in the hospital because he was ‘hacked’ out by a bunch of mullahs who thought giving medical aid to wounded soldiers up in WANA was similar to a kaafir aiding the forsaken. I don’t know but it ‘kind of’ puts me off the whole ‘We Love the T-Boys (Taliban Boys)’ ideology. Not my cup of tea really.

What I say is just my personal opinion of course like yours 🙂

Thanks for dropping by and oh do have a crack at our cypher riddle if you may 🙂

No Adnan, I remember it all too well and of course we loved the attention (financial and otherwise that we got for doing so)! Yup we created the Taliban a long time back, we trained them, equiped them and sent them out to fight. Now their purpose is served and they are not needed any more. Look around you, this is how the world works 🙂

UNDERSTAND THIS!

DEMOCRACY DON'T RULE THE WORLD, YOU'D BETTER GET THAT IN YOUR HEAD; THIS WORLD IS RULED BY VIOLENCE, BUT I GUESS THAT'S BETTER LEFT UNSAID - Bob Dylan: American folksinger.
