Raped and left to die…

At least once every day, there comes a time when I think this world is full of barbaric and inhuman creatures who have no morality or fear of God whatsoever! Over at The Pakistani Spectator, Amna Gilani penned down a news about this 11-year old girl from Mandi Bahuddin who was gang-raped by atleast 5 man, severely mutilated and left to die

She was only 11 years old. Being a father to a daughter myself, it brings a lump in my throat… How can a father ever imagine this his daughter would become a victim to such a disgusting crime against humanity? What do you tell her mother who is now in a critical condition. No words, no support… nothing can bring solace to them. They saw their daughter grow up… nurtured her and loved her… held her hand and helped her walk when she couldn’t on her own… smiled at her and dreamt of a secure and prosperous future for her… thanked God for His blessings in the form of their daughter…

… and one day, some men, driven by uncontrollable and animalistic lust, devoured her innocence and her life.

God damn it!

In this enlightened age, some of us are still living in the dark ages! If it’s not rape, it’s karo kari, or marrying your younglings off to old men to pay off debts or settle feuds, or even order your fellow men to rape a woman in broad daylight infront of 100s of people! Do these people deserve a trial? Is there a need to take them to court and give them a sentence of xx years and fine then xx amount?

NO! These men deserve a public castration and hanging till they die bleeding from between their legs or a broken neck. That is what these people deserve… NOT a trial!

May your soul rest in peace innocent child… (Ameen)

    Ameen to the prayers.

Still in pakistan, largely in other muslim countries, girls are dying, been victims of brutality in the name of Honor. And that’s oceans apart from the honor our holy prophet SAWW bestowed on women.

I bet 70% men in our surroundings acted as eve-teasers at least once in their life … what’s the meaning of sharam and hayaa to them??

there has been a sharp rise in crimes against women in Pakistan in the past year and yet it is not the common man whom our politicians and lawyers and activists are struggling for. none of them care if a woman gets raped or killed because that is not something that serves a higher purpose oh but slandering mud on each other and piling up money and power is more important. how very sad of us to offer ourselves to these people who are also raping our nation the very same way as this girl was raped.

Fuzz this brought tears to my eyes just thinking of what that poor girl must be thinking while enduring all the humiliation and the pain. ya Allah… is there no compassion left in this world any more???

Men have a habit of raping you with their smiles and their eyes irregardless of physically assaulting and we simply are told to ignore this. THIS is what encourages them to do what some did to an eleven year old who God knows had even reached puberty yet or not.

We all will shed a few tears, curse the act, discuss it here and that’s about it. Pretty soon she will be forgotten like many before her. So what is sadder: our limited sadness and attention or her sad demise? Tell me?

This isnt an issue of nation or anything on a freaking map. Snap out of it! This is an issue of morality and humanity. Humanity sees no frekkin boundaries.. This is an issue of corrupt minds who dont understand the value of life. You think all this happens just in Pakistan? This isnt an issue politicians can handle. We are the ones responsible for this. How? To let our children go unsafe. To not see where they are going to not keep an eye on them. To not guard them at a tender age of 11 where even the right and wrong is oblivious. Its like sending your child into a jungle where there are hungry animals waiting to just eat someone up. If Allah has blessed you with an angel, takecare of her!

As far as these hungry animals who dont have a heart is concerned. They should be punished in public. How many of us actually speak up to go and report a case like this to a court just to avoid any after effects if the man is not pleaded guilty? How many of us actually fear the fact that if they are in the court because of us, their family will come and screw our lives over?

Curing this desease will take a million lifetimes, prevention is possible, and it is in our hands. Makes me think that we should be thanking those prostitutes who still keep society in a bit of balance, for if it wasnt for them, every other kid would be a story written in the Rape category of many sites.

    May God Bless her soul.

Sorry but I will have to disagree with you Samie. Providing justice for murder in any form or manner is the responsibilty of the state and its leaders because they need to make sure the law is upheld and those responsible pay for their crimes. It is the lack of this accountability and the ease with which our system and its regulations can be twisted by powerful men that such things happen with no fear of getting caught or tried.

Do you think a child is molested, sexually abused or a woman is raped because his/her family or loved ones don’t take care of them? I beg to differ because no matter how protected they might be, statistics have shown that more than often this crime is commited by someone the family trusts. Where is the lack of care then? Also, our politicians are to be blamed fully for this and why not? They are too busy promising the world to the people to get them to the chair and when they are there they forget about them completely or rather become part of this so called immoral group!

May Allah bless the child and give sabar to her family in these hard times.

    my God! So tragic 😦
A similar tragedy happened with two women almost a month ago in the Rohallanwali area of Muzaffargarh district. A dozen or so men abducted two women and raped them for two days in a jungle because they wanted to avenge a marriage of a girl from their family who had eloped with the women’s nephew. One of the girls who got raped was actually pregnant! All in the name of honour they say! Here is the link.. http://news.monstersandcritics.com/southasia/news/article_1399399.php

Well said Minahil. If you notice, I did say that it is the government’s responsibility to punish them but how often are these rapists actually found? There is negligence that leads to most of these horrific acts. I believe that protecting our own children from being prone to these dangers, will prevent it from happening in the first place. Government comes later, law comes later. Dont send them to places where there is danger, keep an eye on your trusted one until the child is not old enough to come and tell you any unusual act, there are so many other things.

Once its done, the child is scarred, the rapist can live or die or whatever, it wont take that off the childs mind. Having said that, I am not justifying the law, the law and government is responsible for not being advanced enough to trace a rapist with DNA samples or whatever.

My heart aches every time I read such accounts of brutality and that too against a child. I fail to undestand what pleasure they would have got out if an 11 year old girl. Why would you do this to her. She knew nothing of this world and had a life ahead of her. Its so sickening!
