‘I expect an apology!’ – President tells Daily Telegraph

President Musharraf has said in his press conference today that he expected Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper to apologise to him over an editorial which contained an expletive. The president was speaking a day after Islamabad ordered three Daily Telegraph reporters, including its regular capital correspondent, to leave the country within 72 hours because of the “foul and abusive language.”Musharraf responded angrily when questioned about the expulsions at a news conference here, a week after he declared a state of emergency which included strict curbs on the media.“Would you accept a word of that sort if I was to use it, if any one of my reporters were to use (it) against your president?” he asked.

The editorial was sharply critical of the West’s relations with Musharraf, and used a quote containing the words ‘sonofabitch’ to describe the key ally in the US-led “war on terror.”

The President said he was “really shocked” by the language used.

“Now if there is anybody who does not have a sense of how to speak and how to write … I mean, I can’t, I don’t have words to express, what I can say about it? In fact I would say, I expect an apology.”

The Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper said on Saturday it could not immediately comment on the expulsions.

NO ONE has the right to use such foul language against our leaders. Granted Pakistan is going through enough turmoil lately but that is our INTERNAL affair! We do not give the right to ANY one in the world to downgrade us and our leaders!

bohat acha kiya inn ke saath!

The High Commissioner has made a strong protest to Pakistani foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri, making it clear that there is no justification for the expulsion of these journalists.

“We believe media freedom is essential to economic and social development and stability, and actively support the development of a free and fair press in Pakistan.”

calling the leader of a country a sonofabitch is media freedom? get lost!!!

Freedom of press means start abusing everyone in the world and Brit mentality is truly reflected by these comments, all the Brits being bastards and pupps.
The days of colonialism are gone, these 3 pupps must thank their stars that they have been thrown out of Pak with their jaws intact. Next time this may not be the case, stretchers will be required.
What a display of filth stuffed in the skulls of these chutia Brits?

If I start following the analogy of “Freedom of press” these clowns will hide their faces and will not be able to show them to their mothers and sisters. These people are brave only with press freedom but start shitting bricks in Basra and Kabul when confronted with someone whom they can never defeat with this attitude.

People living in Pakistan, have a much wider vocabulary than these British white rodents on feed-roll of Daily Telegraph. We will take on all the so called “Royal” pups and jokers of Britain and exactly match their DNA with those who ejaculated for their creation.
Daily Telegraph does not appears to be a newspaper but sounds more like a breeding institute for prostitutes and pimps.

I wish I were there with these three bastards when they were being kicked out of Pakistan. I would have sodomized these three male prostitutes of Daily Telegraph along with their High Commissioner, before their shunting out.

Please forgive these journalists, it is not their fault. These Brit people are brought up in atmosphere and environments of bitches and dogs. They smile to see, receive and meet a variety of dogs and hounds coming to their homes to get locked up with their mothers and sister bitches.
For Brits, it is a routine business to survive in filth like this.Every second Brit swine in their country is a bastard.

These idiot journalists, who are immune to freedom of press must restrict this sort of a language to their own nation where it is digested well. People living elsewhere will pull out their white tongue and shove it in their brown asshole.

WTF! How dare they say that about our leader. I am not a mush lover but this is just too much. he is our president and he deserves respect.

I had honestly not read the piece until a few hours ago and I am still in shock as to how an international news reporting institution can make such shameful comments and still get away with it without an apology or even an explanation. I would love to hear from some one from our own media and news channels if it is ever ok to abuse the head of any country like this. It is an insult on the President and the country he is the president of. Our people should protest against this too if they have time and energy to protest against the Emergency. We give them a lenient hand now and they will do that with God knows who else in the future.

SHOCKING SHOCKING SHOCKING! No matter how bad our leader no matter how much you hate the leader but the Western media should get one thing very clear we won’t tolerate a single word because at the end of the day he still is the President of Pakistan and it is an insult to Pakistani nation!

how very degrading for our country. who are these goras to address our president this way? but i am not very surprised because our own media has been doing the same thing minus the abusive language against the government. maybe this is what giving unchecked freedom to press and media does but very sad. down with daily telegraph

Musharraf should have courage to face the truth that he just like his daddy Zia was also “western SOB”!
Look at this sham democracy, an army which surrender to a hand full bunch of morons in tribal areas, the most corrupt politicians flourishing under his army uniform.
I would go a step further and would describe the whole army upper command SOB!

bachay, there is a time and place to pick a side and there are times when a nation needs to put aside their differences, if only for a minute and come together to show that they are still a nation who will not stand for abuse and ridicule. this happens to be that time. no one is saying you should not have the right to criticize but the right to call our president a sonofabitch does not go to any foreigners.

Plain disgusting, i can’t believe the Editor would actually go to print with something like this, he is our president, he is a Pakistani. These arrogant toads have shown that despite all their rants of human rights and decency they are rotten at the core. Damn Rotters, i feel we should write something similar about their beloved Gordon Brown.

We should not stand for this.
