Govt says it did not suspend Telecommunication services

Pakistan’s government has denied it had suspended the countries mobile telephone and Internet networks following reports of nationwide disruption to services. [Details Here]

“No telecommunications network has been suspended. Everything is normal. There is no disruption of the telephone system. If there is some congestion or some technical problem we don’t know. But the government has not disrupted any telecommunications service.Information Minister Mohammad Ali Durrani said.

In the capital Islamabad most mobile calls were not being put through and many international landlines were also not functioning. Internet services were also down for some time which has been linked to the hearing of the ousted Chief Justice of Pakistan happening today.
