Austrlia and Kenya record first wins

Australia began their 9th world cup exactly as they finished the 8th with a mammoth 203 run victory over Scotland while Kenya cruised home with a seven wicket win against Canada.

Australia: 334-6 / Scotland: 131 all out
Australia won by 203 runs

Meanwhile, an impressive show of slow bowling and a captain’s innings from Steve Tikolo helped Kenya to a seven-wicket win over Canada in the opening World Cup Group C match on Wednesday.

Canada: 199 all out / Kenya: 203/3 (43.2 overs)

Kenya won by seven wickets

Matches scheduled for today:

Bermuda vs Sri Lanka (Group B) at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and

Ireland vs Zimbabwe (Group D) at Sabina Park, Jamaica
